15 January 2020| Famagusta

On January 15th, 2020, Innovative Entrepreneurship and Go Social Cy came together at Famagusta Walled City Association (MASDER) to learn about Design Thinking. Patricia Flanagan delivered an informative and innovative way of thinking while getting participants to interact, discuss and get creative with their ideas. Participants got to experience the wonders of Design Thinking in the planning and implementation process of innovative ideas within the context of social entrepreneurship. It is clear that design thinking is a method that can be applied to any project, whether it is part of your career or personal life.

*What is Design Thinking?

Design thinking is a process for creative problem solving that encourages those using the process to focus on the people they are solving the problem for, building empathy with them. It is an interactive and collaborative approach that works particularly well when the challenge does not have an easy answer and requires innovation and change. It introduces a range of creative tools developed to encourage participants to try simple mindset shifts and to tackle problems from new directions. During the process-wide ranges of techniques are used to encourage ideation and then ideas generated are tested with simple and cheap prototyping techniques.
